If you feel like taking control of your next fantasy, try doing it with Club 42, A Choose-Your-Own-Adventure book of the Erotica variety.
Naomi, a proud Brooklyn hipster, finds her life is forever changed when she gets fired from her barista job and wanders into a strip club called Club 42. On a whim, Naomi auditions to become a dancer and what happens next… is up to you!
Join Naomi as she works the day shift at a Manhattan club where patrons sip on carrot juice instead of beer. From learning the art of the lap dance to giving her ex the “extras” in the VIP room, there’s more to learn here than she ever learned in college. Should she tell her partner – the dreamy, broke musician who is unofficially squatting in her apartment – about her job, or should she learn to lead a double life between two boroughs? Should she experiment with moonlighting as a Dominatrix, or stay in the strip club and submit to her newest crush, exploring her sexuality and her newfound love for exhibitionism as she twerks her way into a new tax bracket? It’s all up to YOU, so grab your stilettos, turn up the early-2000’s dance hits, and guide Naomi through this nonstop naked adventure in the city that never sleeps!Club 42 by Joanna Angel; Simonandschuster.com.
Written by the Jane-of-all-trades, Joanna Angel, an alternative icon in the adult film industry who doesn’t conform to the norm, with everything she touches. Not does she perform, she is a director, producer, and all-around boss b*tch. Her adult film projects have storylines and performers that aren’t the classic glam-porn look, they have alternative hairstyles and tattoos adorning their bodies to some pretty cool Horror-comedy plotlines. This niche has intrigued so many out there who identify and find that it matches their own aesthetics. So, of course, her book, Club 42 isn’t just a normal book, the twist of it being a “Choose-Your-Own” Erotic Journey seems fitting to be under the Joanna Angel name.
Growing up, one of my favorite memories was getting the scholastic book fair order forms. I’d come home wanting to buy every single book imaginable on the order form. I wasn’t the richest kid on the block so my parents would usally only ask me to get one book. So grabbing a choose your own adventure book or a book that was more reference style was ideal. The Choose Your Own Adventure books were the best route to go since I could change the storyline a couple of times.
Reading a choose your own adventure (or in this case fantasy) book is like having a map with a route that I was suppose to go on but I have the choice to take short cuts or rather scenic routes that intrigues me instead. I’m starting this book this week with my partner and I can’t wait to see where this book takes us.
Club 42 is the second Choose-Your-Own-Fantasy Book Angel has written and hopefully the start for many more in the future.
