Kegel Song Challenge

Once you’re able to figure out which muscle you need to be squeezing for your kegel exercises.  Doing your exercises almost becomes a chore.

So, for the few girls i’ve talked to this week, Let’s do a Kegel Song Challenge!  My trick for doing a simple kegel exercise once a day, is to listen to a song and squeeze/hold to the bass line of a song.  Think of it like Dance Dance Revolution but for kegels. 🙂  I usually recommend classic rock.  This week, how about you try, Jimmy Jazz by the Clash.

It’s a simple bass line that increases and holds. Try it out and let me know how well it goes! 😀

Gballs² App

images-img-2.2I just recently got my hands on this awesome little Gem!  It’s another innovative sex toy / kegel exerciser!  It really sparked my interest since they combined my favorite things!  CUTE FACTOR, techy stuff and making it affordable for an everyday girl.

The Gballs² are a kegel ball set that includes kegel balls that have a sensor that vibrates when squeezed internally with an app. The vibrations allow you to really feel if you are squeezing the proper muscles down there.  The Gballs² are made out of a silicon that is smooth and soft to the touch.  It can be easily inserted and isn’t ginormous like some kegel balls out there.   The weight isn’t too heavy since it only weighs a measly 54g, aka it won’t feel like you just put kettle balls in you.  Whenever, I’ve explained traditional kegel balls, I usually say it’s like lifting weight for your vag.  But,  these trainer balls focus on just the action of working out your pc muscles, so I’d say it’s more like toning yoga instead of vigorous weight lifting.  The vibration feedback is a friendly reminder after each rep that you’re on the way to healthier pc muscles.  The Balls have a rechargeable function that Gballs2 allows them to be smaller in size.  It’s only  3.25″ long to be inserted and 1.25″ wide.  Not overbearing at all.  (( and always remember your vag isn’t a big black hole… it isn’t going to get lost up there.))

Ta-dah! You just downloaded your new sex-fitness trainer! haha  The app is pretty user friendly and just screamed to my inner cuteness factor.   What’s even better… you don’t need the balls to use the app.  So, if you’re on the run and you don’t have the balls on you, you can still get your workout in. The app has a little girl as the app’s mascot to encourage you.  You begin by taking a test to see what course might be suitable for you.  They have six courses to choose from entry level, honeymoon, Planning a Baby, Young mom, Muscle Recovery and Hot lover.  ;P I got Hot Lover.

properties-img-3I usually squeeze to the bass line of songs but this fitness course made me concentrate more.  The exercise training really didn’t take much time out of my day.  They also made a game out of it and you get badges for completing your training and who doesn’t love that haha.

The badges give a person a sense of motivation and I know that a lot of my girlfriends and women in general need that.  Being able to track your progress with a little guidance can make it worthwhile.

The Gballs²  are around the $100 range, which is a smidgen cheaper than other Kegel exercisers that are similar.  This toy isn’t going to completely break the bank BUT~!  if it helps with the end results of better pc muscles, I think it’s worth it. 😉  Gballs² sensor balls and app  combo is more user friendly and I think that’s a big deal. I guess, the whole look of it looks way more inviting and doesn’t look like a chore to do a workout.

Review | Smartballs Metallic Kegel Exerciser (Fun Factory)

61rbDFbrSUL._SL1500_I’ve been meaning to write a review on Fun Factory’s Smartballs Original Kegel Exercisers in Metallic Magenta and Rose.  But it’s just been a slippery slope with this toy/ exerciser.

I wanted these more for the female wellness factor as a kegel exerciser but I feel like using it more for pleasure would be best.  The Smartballs are a modern version from the traditional kegel balls and had a few features that made me more favorable to them.  They have inner balls that move around to help me contract my muscles and a string attached which makes retrieving the balls out easier.

They have a patented manufacturing method to make Smartballs the most quietest balls in the world.  But, I wiggled and I sometimes could hear it. haha I almost got paranoid to wear it out in public because of it.  Just so you can get a feeling of it,  I put a video below so you can hear the sound of it when it moves.  You rarely hear it when it’s inside. Sometimes, just a few knocks here and there when you move too quickly.

Crowdfunding for Kegels!

I recently came across two crowdfunding projects that were kegel-tastic!  I know that Crowdfunding websites such as Kickstarter has been funding some of the most amazing projects recently.  But, I found two that really sparked my interest.

I already use my phone for everything you can think of like tracking my jogging routes, my exercise routines, playing videos games, reading books… I could go on and on.

So, when I saw these two projects for Kegel exercising that incorporated any type of modern technology that did more for me than just sticking traditional balls in my vag, of course I got super giddy.  Both of these projects had a combo of encouraging a women to do their kegel exercises using their devices that were inserted and tracked with the phone.

whatever you want to call them… let’s talk about putting Balls in your cooch!  They are many names for these balls and there are many variations to them.   • You can wear them anytime of the day, whenever you choose or however long you choose.
  • Dabble a little bit of lube on your balls to make insertion easier.
  • Start slow with one ball and then increase to two later. It’s just like lifting weights, you don’t start off lifting 1000 lbs, you work you way up.

What are KEGEL EXERCISES?!?!?!

They are exercises that Dr. Arnold H. Kegel made popular by stating that it will strengthen the PC muscles. Your PC muscles are also known as the Pubococcygeus muscle.  It’s a hammock-like muscle that stretches backward from the pubes toward the coccyx and forms part of the pelvic floor. This muscle is found in both men and women.

Why should you do Kegel Exercises?
If you train yourself properly, you can control your orgasms, squeeze your partner to increase sensation while having intercourse, and help your own personal health to prevent weak pelvic muscles later in life.

Have you heard the term “If you don’t use it, you lose it?”… well, I feel bad for telling you, but it’s true. Since it’s a muscle, we need to keep up on our health and “work it out” so later on in life we won’t have any negative repercussions. What are these negative repercussions? Well, one would involve “Depends”. The Adult diapers. haha Both Women and Men suffer from weak pelvic muscles and this leads to lack of bladder control, incontinence, and just plain piddling your pants when you sneeze. Also, for girls… two words… Uterine prolapse. Remember that analogy describing the pc muscle as a hammock? well let’s just say if you don’t exercise that hammock it’ll give way and it holds up your uterus.

Now that I scared you to the point of piddling your pants, let’s just talk about kegel exercises and ways to decrease your chances of those bad repercussions and get those awesome orgasms flying at you! so keep reading…

How do you do Kegel Exercises?

  • Find the right muscles you are suppose to be working out. To identify your pelvic floor muscles, try to stop urination in midstream. If you succeed, you’ve got the right muscles.
  • Empty your bladder. If you do decide to use kegel balls, the pressure will push down and make you feel like you have to run to the urination station. So, it’s just best to empty it to start off.
  • Start off slow. Lay down and squeeze PC muscles for 5 seconds and release for 5 seconds. Do 5 rounds of this.
  • Once that becomes too easy, work up to squeezing the PC muscles for 10 seconds and release for 10. Do 5 rounds of this.
  • Now, place your hand on your abdomen and try and focus on only flexing your PC muscles avoiding your abdomen, thighs or buttocks.
  • Maintain a nice breathing patterns and avoid holding your breath.
  • Practice doing your exercises 3 times a day.
  • Once laying down becomes too easy, try doing the exercises while standing.
  • Once doing the repetitious 10 second rounds, Try listening to music and only squeezing and releasing to the bass line.
  • You can always use Kegel balls to help your progress. Think of them as weights like most people use while working out.
