Earth Day

The last thing you think about when it comes to having sex and using sex toys is being conscientious about your carbon footprint left on earth.

So, this year’s Earth Day, I’m just going to share a few things that you can tweak in your love life while helping mother earth at the same time!

  • Save up and invest in quality sex toys! Getting a great sex toy has so many benefits both long-term and short term!
If you decide to buy a vibrator, grab one that has quality material and is possibly rechargeable.  Quality sex toys have a longer lifespan, so you won’t have to replace the toy constantly.  This decreases in waste (Wall-E will love you for it!) and battery consumption!  Single use batteries and Rechargeable batteries have toxic and hazardous materials inside which means itshould be recycled.  But many people usually have a  “fuggit” mentality and just toss them in the trash  AAAND the same goes for old sex toys that die.  Decrease waste by having nice things! haha How can you say no to that?!?  haha

    • So, grab a toy that is non-toxic, hypoallergenic, high grade premium materials. Some of the best vibrating toys are made with 100% premium silicone!  If you’re looking for a vibrating dong.  Choose one with a removable bullet because then once that bullet dies you can just replace that instead of the whole darn thing!
    • Another great material for toys is Glass!  It’s one of the most hygienic material out there and it can be broken down and recycled.
    • USB powered Vibrating toys decrease on batteries as well! They aresignificantly cheaper than rechargeable and you can use them while you’re browsing porn on your computer. 😛  There isn’t a lot of the menu for these type but my faves are:
    • Wood Toys!  If you wanna be ultra hippy and love beautifully crafted sex toys visit: http://nobessence.com.
NobEssence™ sculptures are organic, waterproof and hypo-allergenic. Our sustainably farmed woods are firm from the start – warming to your passion and retaining your heat.  NobEssence™ exotic hardwood sculptures deliver uniquely luxurious sensations –firm, silky smooth, clean and visually irresistible.”
    • Another cool toy material is Stone! Laid has Stone toy made from granite and it is the perfect shape for the body to be a Smoooooth operator.
  • Grab some condoms that are made with natural, Fair Trade rubber!  Latex is Latex and you may not see the direct result of it but why not grab condoms that are fair trade and good for the laborers who go to the rubber trees!  Fair Trade rubber does cost alittle bit more but it helpsthe quality of life for the workers with all the things we take for granted like clean drinking water, electricity, having a roof over their head and education!  Remember these brands the next time you need to grab a pack of condoms!
  • Grab a lubricant that is an all natural or organic alternative.   There are somany different options now in comparison toa couple years back.  Older lubricants had so many filler ingredients that were petroleum based, or hadparabens. So, now! you can now just be completely knock those off your shopping list.   Also, you don’t haveto be a hippy and only use coconut oil.    There are many lubricants that might make your vagina so much more happier.  The following are a few of my favorites <3 they are latex & polyisoprene condom compatible, toy safe and are friendly for your body!
  • Can’t forget the BDSM folk! and For all those Flogging lovers! No need to fear there is at least a fabulous flogger out there made from Recycled Rubber!

Hopefully, these tips for tweaking your shopping list will give you a little bit of motivation to giving Mother Earth the attention and love she deserves.

I want to get HOG WILD!! Wet® Boink N’ Oink Bacon Flavored Lubricant™ grabbed my attention

I’m such a sucker for packaging.   I’ve seen the whole bacon lube thing done before but it has been brought to my attention that Wet had a Bacon lube. Wet® Boink N’ Oink Bacon Flavored Lubricant™ to be exact. I searched it immediately and … that pig on the packaging.  Dat Pig tho…  SO DAMN CUTE. The place I usually go to for buying my stuff is out of stock of this right now but this is definitely on my shopping list haha

I think I just want it for the bottle but it’s a must have to give as a gag/ novelty gift… unless you are a bacon fan like me.  I’m hoping the taste won’t make me vom haha

But, last year…I saw that they had microwaveable bacon popcorn… and I didn’t have a microwave, so I seriously went out and bought a new microwave just to try the popcorn. lol  I think this might be another one of my silly impulse buys.  Thanks Wet… just take my money!

HASHTAG #### BACON ON EVERYTHING.

Guide to choosing a Lube!

How to choose a lube copy

I get pretty ANAL about LUBE.

Recently, I headed out to a house party and ended up having girl talk with a mini group of gals. I stumbled into the convo and what was the topic? That’s right the unspoken “Anal Sex” discussion.

I got caught up in this conversation when this one girl said to NOT use any lube. I’m pretty sure my jaw dropped and couldn’t believe the next words coming out of her mouth. Apparently, her first experience wasn’t so pleasant and she had to take a visit to the hospital because (duh, she didn’t use lube and) she got an anal fissure (micro tear) from obviously friction and started bleeding when she went to the bathroom. She started spewing out how it was just because it was the first time. Haha our bums don’t have a hymen, people. It ain’t like that. It seems to be coming up a lot around me, and all I want to do is yell from the rooftops. WHERE DA LUBE AT?!?! Read more to get some recommendations and learn a few pros and cons on what to use!

“Is Lube okay to use, if my wife and I are trying to have a baby?”

First off, CONGRATS on trying to bring some baby into this world! … and actually having sex for the “procreation” side of it all. haha

As far as your question is concerned, NOT ALL LUBE is created equal.  Whatever you probably have at home or are trying to use, I reeeally want to say no.  There are some lube specifically made for it, but majority of the lubes on the market are not sperm-friendly.

What are Silicone lubricants!?

Silicone lubricants are favorite to many.  Either you love it or hate it. But it’s the kind where you get the most “bang” for your buck since it lubricates for days. haha

Silicone is made from synthetic materials and the content of the lubricants is only a few items such as Dimethicone, Dimethiconal and cyclomethicone. There are different “grades” of silicone so not all are made the same.  Depending, on their “recipe” it can range from thick to baby oil thin.  Just like water-based lubricants they are sometimes additives that make it softer and a moisturizer like vitamin E.  But there isn’t too much of a variety for silicone other than quality.

Pros

  • Great for girls who are sensitive down there. Since silicone’s main components are Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, and Cyclomethicone which means bacteria will not stick around  since it doesn’t have a living things or plant polymers to cling to.
  • The consistency and viscosity of silicone is similar to oil and petroleum-based lubricants but is more body friendly internally.
  • It’s like a slip and slide! Water just glides over it! So, if you would like to have some fun in water (shower/baths… pools/hot tubs) it will work extremely well.
  • It stays on twice as long in comparison to a water-based lubricant.
  • Silicone doesn’t need to be applied as much or the same quantity used as a water lubricant.
  • Condom friendly.

Cons

  • Stains the sheets and fabrics, so bring out the Oxy-clean to get those stains out, or else it’ll look like you ate fried chicken in bed.
  • You will need soap and water to remove it completely off your skin since it will leave a film and slick coating.
  • You are limited to using silicone with certain sex toys since it will break down the materials of your toy, making it melt and have a gummy-like texture.  Silicone lubricant on a silicone toy almost bonds together which makes it porous and susceptible for infections.  Even though many people don’t notice it visibly as much, once the materials have degraded, it becomes a hazard to use the toy since it becomes a bacteria party waiting to join in on the vagina fun.
  • The cost of silicone lubricants are more expensive than water or oil-based lubes.  BUT since you use less, the price is pretty comparable at the end of the day.
Slip and slide it on it... silicone lube.

H2Ohhhhh, Water Based Lubricants! | What are water based lubricants?

Water based lubricants are the most friendliest to use out there! It has all the right qualities that are needed and wanted in a lubrication. What I mean by water based lubricant it is water soluble.  It is made with  various plant based polymers, preservatives and sometimes glycerin.  The newer lubricants that are being introduced have been adding moisturizers to decrease the stickiness and ability to stay moist longer.  So as far as water-based lubricants, there are a lot of options out there for you.
